Jeremy Gilbert is president and founder of Image Ministries. In August 2011 Jeremy was very distant from God having lived for many years in drug addiction and suicidal depression. One day feeling so hopeless & suicidal, he prayed that God would take his life away. Just a week after that prayer, Jeremy’s aunt invited him to a church service where he saw things there that made the Bible come alive! The sick were being healed and people were speaking in tongues, just like in the Book of Acts.
Jeremy prayed to God once more that if he would attend that church one more time, God would do a miracle for him. That night, the pastor received supernatural information from God that someone had come to church needing deliverance from drug addiction. That night changed the entire direction of Jeremy’s life. God had made Himself real to Jeremy as faith, hope, and love filled his soul.
The healing and restoring power of Jesus Christ came into Jeremy’s life and he was delivered from drug addiction and suicidal depression. He stopped all psychiatric medications and never went back to see any doctors. As Jeremy continued to attend church & hear the gospel preached, he realized that the call of Jesus was for anyone that would accept.
Within a few weeks the Holy Spirit gave Jeremy great boldness and he was out on the streets healing the sick, knocking on doors & sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jeremy soon moved away to attend Bible School in Pennsylvania and started a home fellowship. The power of the Holy Spirit was present in this home fellowship. This group of young adults was seeking God with all their hearts seeing demons cast out, the sick healed, and people being filled with the Holy Spirit, just like in the Book of Acts.
After finishing Bible School, Jeremy helped with two church plants, and became an associate pastor. The Holy Spirit then opened doors for Jeremy as an evangelist traveling holding revivals in America and crusades in other nations. Though things looked great on the outside, but Jeremy’s heart was not content. Through these years of ministry there was still very little lasting fruit. His life did not produce many true disciples.
Terrified at the thought Jesus may ask Jeremy at the last day of judgment, “Where are your disciples? I asked for one thing, and that’s disciples.” Jeremy began seeking God how to make disciples. The Holy Spirit directed Jeremy to begin studying alternative church models like DMM (Disciple Making Movement) & TLR (The Last Reformation).
Eventually Jeremy felt it necessary to go be a disciple of Torben Sondergaard of the The Last Reformation to learn how to make disciples. And it changed everything!
Jeremy is now seeing on a weekly basis…
- demons cast out
- the sick healed
- new believers baptized in water & Holy Spirit
- and creating more disciples to do the same!
Image Ministries has set out to make true disciples for Jesus Christ. Disciples that know how to live free of sin, heal the sick, cast out demons, and share the gospel.
We want to help the church make true disciples. Image Ministries is solely set on fulfilling the Great Commission. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ and teach these new disciples how to love God by obeying our Lord’s commands.
